The movement of sands on Borth beach revealed a petrified forest dating from nearly 500 years ago!!! It is a magical sight, and one to which I will return in the near future, hopefully. For anyone planning a visit, the forest can only be seen at low tide and on a Spring tide. Arriving just before the low tide and seeing the gnarled wooden stems slowly emerge from the waves is an extraordinary experience.
