Rapper Tory Lanez was attacked by another inmate while serving a 10-year sentence at the California Correctional Institution. The 32-year-old Canadian, who was jailed in 2020 after shooting Megan Thee Stallion was stabbed 14 times during the assault.

According to his social media, Tory, who was born Daystar Peterson, suffered two collapsed lungs and has been placed on a “breathing apparatus”. His team confirmed the musician was stabbed a total of 14 times, including seven back wounds, four in his torso, two in the back of his head and one to the left side of his face. The post also revealed that he is now “talking normally” and in “good spirits”.

Pedro Calderón Michel, of the state’s corrections department, told the BBC that the attack happened around 7:20 am local time.

Michel added that prison staff performed first aid on the rapper before he was rushed to the hospital, confirming an investigation is underway.

It was reported that he was transported to an off-site hospital, and then airlifted to Kern Medical Hospital due to the seriousness of his condition after he was stabbed with a “prison shank”.

In December 2022, a jury in LA found the rapper guilty of three felonies after his former pal and fellow musician Megan, was shot in both feet.

The WAP star was left wounded after the shooting and needed to undergo surgery to remove bullet fragments from her feet.

Appearing in court, the rapper born Megan Pete became emotional as she recounted the shooting, tragically telling the jury that she wished she hadn’t survived her ordeal.

She told the jury it all began at the party hosted by Kylie Jenner in the Hollywood Hills on 12 July 2020. The pair then got into an argument after she mocked the rapper's musical talents, as they drove away from the event.

According to Megan, she demanded to be let out of the car and heard Tory shouting at her to dance, before opening fire with a handgun

The jury deliberated for one day in August 2023 before convicting Tory of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, having a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle and discharging a firearm with gross negligence.
