Brits planning on travelling to sunny Benidorm for a holiday have been warned to be vigilant as the destination has become "busier than ever". Frank, who has lived in Spain for around 15 years, said there's one thing tourists need to be aware of when visiting - and it's super important. According to him, crime has become a bit of a problem at the hotspot, and he said thieves are targeting tourists. He shared vital advice which he thinks people need to know ahead of travelling.

Frank, who posts under Frank The Stagman on TikTok, said there is a lot more crime in the area these days, but there are things you can try and do to prevent being targeted. He said it's all a "numbers game".

In a video, he said: "As Benidorm has exploded - it's exploding with tourism - it's busier than it's ever been. My company is already out selling 2026 already, so that's a sign that we're just going to get busier and busier.

"So, back to the crime thing. The crime, it's the same as anything else. It all comes down to the numbers game, and I think the problem is, with Benidorm exploding, and visually becoming the place where the money is, there's lots of money around, lots of tourists and there's lots of people who want that money.

"Remember, it's all about the numbers game. The more tourists, the more criminals, the more petty thieves are going to be focused on coming to Benidorm. So, it's really, really simple - if you don't want to lose it, don't bring it."

If you have valuable items that you don't want to lose, Frank said it's best to leave them at home. Some things are just not worth the risk, according to him.

You'll have nothing to worry about if you don't bring anything expensive with you, he said. He told people to take his advice as a warning to avoid getting upset on their holidays.

Frank urged people to "leave all the good stuff at home" to avoid being a victim of crime. It may sound drastic, but he claimed it's the best thing for people to do in the long-run.

If you do this, he said you should be able to enjoy yourself, and have a much "easier" time, because you won't be worrying about getting pick-pocketed. He just wants people to have all the advice they can before they visit so they can make the most of their time abroad.

The video has been viewed hundreds of times since it was shared, and people were quick to share their thoughts too. Some said parts of the resort can become "dangerous" at night.

One said: "Also, this is good advice for anywhere you travel too. If you flaunt it, you'll lose it. Thieves watch you. Keep that in mind. They're clever, they work things out."

Another added: "I'm glad you're bringing this subject up. It has to stop." A third replied: "I never take all my money out with me at night. Always leave most of it at the hotel, and just take what I think I will need."

Some said their experiences in Benidorm have been great though. A fourth wrote: "Been a dozen times and never had a problem or seen anyone else have a problem."

Someone else also chimed in with: "I love Benidorm, and it doesn't matter where you go, crime is always everywhere."
