Hollywood star Alec Baldwin’s new TV reality show is facing the axe after just one series following poor ratings.
Viewing figures showed the opening episode of The Baldwins drew an audience of only 680,000 in the US, while its second episode had nosedived to 420,000.
The show following the real lives of Baldwin, 66, his wife Hilaria, 41, and their brood of seven young children, was branded “boring” by TV critics.
When asked last week if it will be renewed for a second series, a senior executive at the TLC channel said: “I doubt it.”
It comes after it was confirmed that Baldwin’s ill-fated independent western film Rust will get a limited US cinema release in May and then be available on streaming platforms.
Cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, 42, was accidentally shot dead on the Rust set in October 2021 when Baldwin discharged a “prop gun” loaded with live ammunition instead of blanks.
