President Donald Trump has said anyone involved with causing damage to his Scottish golf course is a “terrorist” and he hopes they are “treated harshly”. Trump Turnberry course in Turnberry, South Ayrshire, was vandalised with pro-Palestine graffiti and was reported to police around 4.40am on March 8.

Police Scotland said a 33-year-old man had been charged in connection with the incident. Meanwhile, a 75-year-old man and a 66-year-old woman previously arrested as part of the investigation had been released, pending further enquiries. In a post on his Truth Social account on Sunday, Mr Trump said: “I was just informed by Prime Minister Starmer of the United Kingdom, that they caught the terrorists who attacked the beautiful Turnberry, in Scotland.

“They did serious damage, and will hopefully be treated harshly.”

Mr Trump claimed “three people who did this are in prison”, adding: “You cannot let things like this attack happen, and I greatly appreciate the work of Prime Minister Starmer, and UK Law Enforcement.”

The 33-year-old man is expected to appear at Ayr Sheriff Court today.

The probe into the incident remains ongoing.

Shocking photos show insults, including "f*** Trump" and "Trump is a C*" spray painted in red paint on the clubhouse and across the 800-acre resort. Damage was also caused to the greens.

"GAZA IS NOT FOR SALE" was sprayed across the lawn, and the golf course's holes were dug up.

At the time a spokesperson for Palestine Action posed on X: "The most expensive golf course in Britain...got a visit by Palestine Action.

"No longer can ordinary people sit by whilst the American administration arms Israel and makes plans to ethnically cleanse Gaza.

"Whilst Trump attempts to treat Gaza as his property, he should know his own property is within reach."

This news comes just hours after a Republican Party headquarters in New Mexico was destroyed in what was deemed a deliberate act of arson, following the disappearance of 48 people in ICE raids.

The entryway appeared scorched and the words 'ICE=KKK’ sprayed on the building in Albuquerque, in pictures shared by Republican activists in the border state at the forefront of combatting migration from Mexico.
