Emergency responders have descended on a busy street in Bolton town centre after a blaze erupted at a vacant building. Firefighters, police, and paramedics are currently at the scene on Bradshawgate, where a cordon has been established and multiple fire engines are present. Photographs from the area show several buses halted near the emergency response location, with a ladder apparently used by the fire department to combat the flames at a property.
At least one ambulance is stationed on the street, and Greater Manchester Police officers are visible at the scene, reports the Manchester Evening News. According to a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service: "Shortly before 9am this morning (Monday, March 31), fire crews responded to reports of a building fire on Bradshawgate in Bolton. Six fire engines tackled the fire at a three-storey terraced style commerical abandoned building. Firefighters used breathing apparatus and three hose reels to extinguish the fire. Crews remain on the scene at this time to make the area safe."
