Royal fans believe Prince Harry's ex-girlfriend, Chelsy Davy, may have taken inspiration from Meghan Markle's family photo by uploading a similar image on Mother's Day with her own two children. Chelsy candidly posed by the sea on March 30 in a stylish white linen shirt and matching shorts alongside her two young children Leo, 3, and Chloe, born last year.

She captioned her image: "Happy Mother’s Day to all those celebrating in the UK today. Sending so much love." One week prior, Meghan Markle shared a similar snap in a white linen shirt, with Princess Lilibet, 3, on her hip, and Prince Archie, 5, hugging his mum from the side, with the caption: "Every day is a love story". Both photos are heart-warming images of the two mothers enjoying time spent with their children.

Fans have rushed to post their thoughts, hinting at the possibility of Chelsy copying Meghan's original family photo. One fan wrote: "Meghan posted her photo a week ago, Chelsy posted it yesterday on Mother's Day."

On X, one social media user said: "I think this picture took place after Meghan’s. Regardless, it’s much better done..."

One X user, wrote: "Markle posted it first. Looks like Chelsey copied it."

Another wrote: "Wow that does look a similar pose", whereas one fan defended Chelsy and wrote: "To be fair she [Chelsy] is turned a different direction and holding the children differently."

One fan defended Meghan Markle, writing: "I think Chelsea’s photo is for UK’s Mother’s Day vs Markle’s which was 6 days ago so she didn’t really copy Chelsea."

"Markle posted it first. Looks like Chelsey copied it. Maybe she’s having a laugh at Meghan’s expense," another user claimed.

Chelsy opened her jewellery brand, Aya, back in 2016 after gaining her diploma in gemology from the Gemological Institute of America. Prior to that, Chelsy gained two degrees: an economics degree from the University of Cape Town and a law degree from the University of Leeds.

Fans of Prince Harry's former girlfriend also commented on Chelsy's "beautiful" photo as a whole. One wrote: "A beautiful image of genuine pride and love for your children."

Since the beginning of 2025, Meghan has continuously posted on her Instagram giving fans a glimpse of behind the scenes of her Netflix show With Love, Meghan, her brand As Ever, and her family live at home in Monetcito, California.

On Mother's Day, the Duchess of Sussex shared a snapshot of a lemon dessert being held by a little hand and an adult hand. "Our family tradition. Mothering Sunday in the UK," the mum of two captioned the photo.

Last year, the Duchess was away from her kids on Mother's Day in the United States. Meghan and Harry were in Africa at the time. The Duchess spoke about missing her "babies" during their visit to Nigeria.
