Latest weather maps show warmer conditions will be hitting the UK in April with up to 20C expected in some areas. The warmer months of spring and summer are making a strong start with Brits to expect temperatures in the high teens or low twenties. A weather map from WXCHARTS shows that on Thursday, April 3, at 6pm, warm temperatures will make their way across most of the UK.
On Friday, April 4, at 3pm, a wind chill map shows that temperatures of up to 18C will be seen in Manchester, London, Southampton, and across the Midlands. A map for Friday at 6pm shows temperatures across London and the south of England will be up to 19C. Other areas which will see warm temperatures include the midlands and across Wales.
A Met Office forecast for Wednesday, April 2 to Friday, April 4, says: “High pressure continues to bring widely dry and fine conditions this week. Plenty of warm sunshine by day, but chillier by night. Generally breezier than of late.”
The Met Office has told Brits to protect themselves as temperatures in the UK are set to soar this week.
Temperatures are expected to creep up throughout the week, starting at a maximum of 19C on Tuesday, rising one degree by Wednesday and ending on a high of 22 degrees on Thursday.
This comes after the start of the year saw a snowy beginning when temperatures dropped in January. Snowfall caused hundreds of schools to close due to icy conditions.
