Sir Rod Stewart is currently captivating audiences with his 'One Last Time' tour across the USA and Canada. Already a remarkable success, it has seen huge venues sold out and received rave reviews from loyal fans. Just yesterday, the 80-year-old shared a video on social media showcasing his live performance in Las Vegas, during which he delighted the audience with his rendition of the classic ballad from Cat Stevens, "The First Cut Is The Deepest."

It could be the only glimpse British fans might get of Sir Rod's show, which currently has no UK dates confirmed. At the moment, the star is set to perform just once in the UK in 2025, headlining Glastonbury in the festival’s famous legends slot on Sunday, June 25. Despite the sneak peek, The Sailing crooner's followers weren't blown away and wasted no time in dispensing their critque of the rockstar's voice.

Many fans expressed their disappointment regarding his vocal performance in the show, while others admitted his delivery didn't match their expectations. One person commented: "Voice is gone now, Rod. Have a good rest, mate..." Another user responded: "Oh, the energy appears to be lacking. I would still pay to see him again in Vegas."

A third viewer referred to the audience's loud vocals that could be heard over Rod's performance, as they typed: "Imagine paying money to sing his songs for him..." Someone else remarked: "Sounds awful now and looks shattered. Seen him so many times, loved them all, but it's just not the same anymore." While a fifth person added: "I love Rod Stewart with all of my heart, and I always will, but his time for touring and live singing is done. Again, I'm not being rude. I've seen him many times in concert, and I am gutted, but it's just not there anymore."

However other fans of Rod defended his performance as they shared that the legendary rocker was "still recovering" after he was forced to pull out of shows due to strep throat. He revealed his health setback just hours before his landmark 200th show in Las Vegas back in January. He expressed his disappointment: "I'm sorry to miss this 200th show celebration. Most people can work with strep throat but obviously not me. I'm absolutely gutted.

"I've been looking forward to this concert for so long. My deepest regrets for any inconvenience this has caused. Thankfully, we'll now be returning in 2025, and I hope to see you all there." Rod firmly stated that he has no plans to slow down. In November, he told the Independent he would no longer play huge world tours, but added: "But I have no desire to retire. I love what I do, and I do what I love. I’m fit, have a full head of hair, and can run 100 metres in 18 seconds at the jolly old age of 79."
