Phillip Schofield is the proud owner of a second home in southern Portugal's idyllic Algarve region - and the sprawling villa has stunning views. The former This Morning presenter's home, which he has been known to visit on an annual basis to top up his dose of sunshine, features a swimming pool, spacious patio and sweeping beach vistas.
Although Phillip has a home in Oxfordshire which he shared with wife Steph before coming out in 2020, and an additional £2 million bachelor pad in Chiswick, it's his Portuguese hideaway which has captured his heart for holidays. Phillip's daughter Ruby has previously shared glimpses of the impressive property on her Instagram account, including a photo of herself stretching out on a terrace wall in a yoga pose. Sharing another snap from the patio, boasting nature reserve views in the distance, she begged: "Can we stay here forever, please?"
It's little surprise she's hooked, with one of the largest nature reserves in all of Europe virtually on the doorstep, and rare birds and sea horses to be sighted nearby.
There are also scenic golf courses and pristine beaches, plus ample opportunities for tennis, horse riding, fishing, cycling and kayaking.
However, what Phillip is rumoured to enjoy the most is hiding out at his peaceful villa, where he once posted photos of himself on the patio at night trying to coax a stray cat.
He triumphantly captioned one image: "It's taken me 3 weeks, but I finally got the wild cat to eat from my hand... lots of time invested here."
Phillip also previously posted a poolside snap of himself with ex-This Morning co-star Holly Willoughby and her husband Dan Baldwin, plus fellow TV host Declan Donnelly of the famous Ant and Dec duo and his wife Ali Astall.
Disaster struck when Phillip, Ant and Dec all tried to purchase exclusive homes at the Keys development in Quinta do Lago, with the trio all losing the funds they invested when the owners went bankrupt.
It put an end to their dreams, which had included each installing a swish rooftop bar and home cinema.
However, Phillip has retained his existing Algarve holiday home - and it's certainly more luxurious than the deserted island where he found himself stranded when he filmed Castaway.
