Though Severance season two may have concluded leaving viewers hanging on an intense finale, fans won't have to miss Britt Lower, as she takes on a new role in the film Psycho Therapy following the Apple TV+ drama.

In her latest project since the gripping conclusion of Severance, Britt Lower, 39, steps onto the scene in Psycho Therapy alongside Sydney Cole Alexander, who shines as Lumon's ever-beaming PR figurehead Natalie Kalen, reports the Irish Star.

Psycho Therapy's electrifying trailer was recently flaunted by Lower on Instagram, accompanied by three chilling knife emojis. Her co-star Alexander playfully replied to the update with a congenial smiling face emoji.

In this twisty narrative, Lower embodies Suzie, a woman entangled in marital turmoil with Keane, a floundering writer played by John Margaro.

As Keane seeks the perfect muse for his murder narrative, he stumbles upon "retired serial killer" Kollmick, masterfully portrayed by Steve Buscemi and enlists him under the guise of mentorship.

But when Suzie mistakenly perceives Kollmick as a marriage therapist rather than a murderer consultant, the plot thickens with darkly comic misunderstandings.

Questions of intent spiral out of control, with Suzie suspecting that her husband is plotting her demise, while he nurses similar suspicions.

Sydney Cole Alexander joins the cast as Zoe, Suzie's confidante, who makes a small appearance in the teaser. The tension escalates when Suzie confides in Zoe about her marital paranoia, prompting Zoe to query: "What do you mean by that?".

The trailer on YouTube has sparked a wave of excitement among fans, with one commenting: "Praise Kier 1:02 That's Natalie. We've got both Helena + Natalie."

Another fan referenced Severance, posting: "Her work is mysterious and important."

A third was eager to watch the film, exclaiming: "I want to watch this! ! Where can we watch this! ! ? ASAP! ! [sic]."

Lower has been juggling several projects alongside Severance, including the film Darkest Miriam. According to IMDb, her upcoming roles include appearances in Next Caller, Until the Wedding, and the third season of Severance.

She's also set to star alongside This Is Us actor Milo Ventimiglia, Sam Worthington, Logan Browning, and Erin Richards in the Netflix thriller I Will Find You, based on Harlan Coben's novel. The plot revolves around David Burroughs (Worthington), an innocent father serving life for his son's murder, who embarks on a quest for truth when he learns his son might still be alive.

Lower plays Rachel Mills, a fallen journalist and David's former sister-in-law, who uncovers a secret that could revive her career.

Meanwhile, Alexander is slated to appear in After and The Country They Call Life, both currently in post-production.

While there's no official announcement on when the third season of Severance will commence production, Ben Stiller, the executive producer and director, has confirmed that the writers' team is being put together.

In an attempt to assuage fans' concerns, he assured that the third instalment won't take three years to produce this time around.

Severance seasons 1 & 2 are streaming on Apple TV+ now

Psycho Therapy will be available to watch in US theatres and on demand from April 11
