Royal fans are convinced that Meghan Markle snubbed Dr Sophie Chandauka - before the awkward photo opportunity moment. The Duchess of Sussex, according to Dr Chandauka - previously confirmed that she would not be in attendance at the Royal Salute Polo Challenge in Florida last year.

However, she later made a last minute change to her plans and decided to attend alongside her friend - and former tennis professional - Serena Williams.Prior to the awkward photo opportunity encounter, Meghan has now been accused of a major snub just moments before.

In a resurfaced video, which was filmed by HELLO! and circulated on X, Meghan can be seen grabbing the hand of another friend who attended the event - Delfina Blaquier - as they walked away together, and "completely ignoring" Dr Chandauka as she walked past.

Taking to X, @RVealingthenarc claimed that it appeared to be "mean girl behaviour", before adding: "Meghan Markle tightly grabs Delfina’s hand and completely ignores Dr. Sophie walking up to take the next photo. This is before the infamous 'stand over there' trophy moment. If you were ever bullied in school, you recognize this move instantly. Cling to one woman to freeze out another."

Racking up more than 500,000 views, the video invited a lot of royal fans to comment their opinions on the apparent snub.

One royal fan commented: "I don’t know how anyone can say she is warm and welcoming. Genuine they say. Genuine bully."

Although they agree Meghan appeared to ignore Dr Chandauka, another royal fan added: "She did see her and ignore her but it was the other girl that grabbed her hand and seemed to pull her along."

This comes after a video surfaced of Meghan appearing to force Dr Chandauka to duck under the trophy so she could stand next to Prince Harry as he celebrated the Royal Salute Polo Challenge last year.

Following news that Harry had stepped down as patron of Sentebale last week, Dr Chandauka claimed that because Meghan was receiving brutal comments over the video, Harry, 40, asked her to release a statement to defend his wife - to which she refused.

Speaking recently to Sky News, she said: "We would have been really excited had we known ahead of time [Meghan was coming], but we didn't. And so the choreography went badly on stage because we had too many people on stage. The international press captured this, and there was a lot of talk about the Duchess and the choreography on stage and whether she should have been there and her treatment of me.

"Prince Harry asked me to issue some sort of a statement in support of the Duchess, and I said I wouldn't. Not because I didn't care about the Duchess, but because I knew what would happen if I did so, number one. And number two, because we cannot be an extension of the Sussexes."
