BBC favourite Peter Serafinowicz has reportedly parted ways with his wife Sarah Alexander after a 23-year marriage. Insiders have revealed that the Amandaland star, aged 51, and the Coupling actress, now 53, have discreetly gone their separate ways. A source confided to the Daily Mail about the couple's separation: "It's very sad, but the split is recent." The pair are parents to two children, son Sam and daughter Phoebe.
Prior to her relationship with Peter, Sarah had a fleeting affair with actor Gerald Harper, who was nearly 40 years her senior. Their liaison lasted just a year before she chose to move on and start anew with Peter. In other news, Peter has opened up about his personal struggles, revealing he was diagnosed with ADHD when he was 40.
In an interview with i Paper, he divulged: "I only found out 10 years ago, and really even more recently than that - like a year or two ago realised just how severely it's affected my life.", reports the Mirror.
He described living with ADHD as a double-edged sword: "Having ADHD for me, it's like being a genius, and also being a total idiot. Some things I can do really super well, and there are some very, very, very basic things that I find almost impossible. I think that's true for a lot of people with ADHD."
Peter has taken to the airwaves co-hosting the podcast I'm ADHD, No You're Not with Paul Whitehouse and Dr. Mine Conkbayir MBE, where they mix humor with frank discussions about managing the disorder.
On the professional front, Peter has captured the hearts of BBC audiences with his role in the hit comedy Amandaland, playing Amanda's South African property developer beau, Johannes.
