Police searching for a teenage boy who got into difficulty at a lake have found a body. Officers were called by the ambulance service to Crown Lakes in Farcet, Peterborough, at 4pm on Thursday, Cambridgeshire Police said.
It is believed the boy, who is aged 16 and from Peterborough, was swimming in the lake when he got into difficulty. The force said on Friday that search teams had recovered a body from the lake just before midnight. A Cambridgeshire Police spokesperson said: "While formal identification is yet to take place, it is believed to be that of the missing boy and his family have been notified. This case will now be handed to the coroner."
