Meghan Markle uploaded a new video to her social media featuring two beloved family members just days after her brand's successful launch earlier this week. The Duchess of Sussex took to her official Instagram account to share new footage of her making Chantilly Lili - a dessert named after her daughter, Princess Lilibet.
In the video, Meghan can be seen cracking eggs and making a mixture in a pan as she makes the sweet treat from scratch. During a segment, she is seen picking up her dog Mia and dancing with her in her Montecito kitchen. Elsewhere, her other dog, Pula, can be seen watching her closely. The video includes pictures of the dessert when it's finished.
In the post's caption, Meghan says: "I did a spin on my grandma’s banana pudding recipe, making homemade vanilla pudding, layering in fresh chantilly cream (doesn’t the word ‘chantilly’ make you think of that old Big Bopper song?!), with strawberries soaked in fresh lemon juice and a touch of sugar. Of course, slices of banana and vanilla wafers layer in for this sweet treat we named after Lili."
She adds: "Top tip: if you’re in a pinch, just use a box of old school vanilla pudding mix, or if you can’t make the homemade chantilly cream, add vanilla extract and a touch of sugar into frozen whipped topping (you know the one!)
"Whatever you have time for, it will be delicious! **To make the cookies into crumbles, place them in a ziploc bag and use a rolling pin to break them up - easy to do and adds great texture and finish!**"
It comes just days after the duchess's brand, As Ever, sold out in minutes after it went live.
As Ever's website features nine products in total, with eight originally available to purchase; however, all of them were sold out within the first hour on Wednesday afternoon.
In a post to celebrate her brand selling out, Meghan said: "Our shelves may be empty, but my heart is full! We sold out in less than one hour and I can’t thank you enough…for celebrating, purchasing, sharing, and believing. It’s just the start @aseverofficial. Here we go!"
As Ever's first collection of seasonal products contained "limited qualities" of each product.
It is thought that the brand will release new product collections seasonally.
For this first collection, it included a raspberry spread in keepsake packaging, a raspberry spread without keepsake packaging, which is still not available to purchase, herbal lemon ginger tea, herbal peppermint tea, herbal hibiscus tea, her flower sprinkles, crepe mix, shortbread cookie mix with flower sprinkles included and a limited-edition wildflower honey with honeycomb.
