One beautiful beach in the UK, known for its white sand and turquoise waters, has made the list of the world's best. Travel experts have voted on the world's 50 best beaches, with Cornwall's Kynance Cove being the only British beach to make the list. Coming in at 48, just behind Cuba's Varadero Beach and ahead of Aruba's Eagle Beach, Kynance Cove has clearly left some experts impressed.

Located along the Lizard peninsula, Kynance Cove is one of Cornwall's most iconic locations, with glorious white sands and rugged rock formations made up of unique dark green and red serpentinite rock. Announcing Kynance Cove's place on the list, the experts wrote: "Famed for its rugged beauty and serpentine rock formations, this stunning cove in Cornwall features a striking landscape with water a shade of turquoise usually seen in the Caribbean.

"The combination of turquoise waters and white sand makes it a remarkable standout, especially given its more northern location. At low tide, hidden caves and islands become accessible for exploration, adding to the allure of the area.

"Situated on the Lizard Peninsula, the cove benefits from natural protection, providing shelter from harsher elements. Challenging access via a steep path helps preserve this pristine environment, yet it still attracts admirers year-round."

And it's not just the experts that have been singing the praises of Kynance Cove, with it receiving over 1,600 five star reviews on Tripadvisor. One of which reads: "Kynance Cove is the most beautiful piece of nature I've seen in. It was breathtakingly beautiful. 

"From the parking lot it is a nice walk, you first see it from the height and the coastline. You descend down a path and or stairs and at low tide you can go all the way to the beach and the water. There's also a restaurant, we haven't been there. Our daughter also swam there."

A second added: "When visiting the Lizard Peninsula you absolutely must stop to see this beach, it is very scenic. From the car park, a short journey leads to the best observation point."

A third then penned: "We spent the entire day here back in May and pictures really don't do the place justice. The water is absolutely stunning, and looks as though you're abroad in a sunnier place than England!

"The views from up by the cafe are also amazing, my only word of advice would be to wear proper footwear as you have to climb over rocks to get to the water itself and it's quite a trek!"
