Beach Holidays

If you're worried the sunny weather won't last and the sunshine has sparked your travel itch but you’re running out of time to plan a beach getaway for the Easter school break or upcoming bank holidays, don’t fret.

There are even beaches in Ibiza, one of the most popular Balearic islands in Spain, that have been described as some of the least overcrowded beaches in Europe.

According to Wizz Air, Cala Benirrás (Benirrás Beach), is one of the least-crowded Easter getaways for sun-seekers looking for an early beach break. Benirrás Beach is renowned for its spectacular sunsets and the legendary drumming sessions that take place, especially on Sundays at sunset, according to Ibiza Spotlight.

A handful of cities across the UK offer direct flights to Ibiza. If you’re jetting from London, the average cost for a direct flight is £135, and takes approximately two and half hours.

Several airlines offer direct flights to Ibiza, including Ryanair, EasyJet, TUI, and Jet2.

The drive from Ibiza Airport (Aeroport d'Eivissa) to Benirrás Beach is approximately 30-35 minutes, depending on traffic and road conditions, with a distance of around 25 kilometers.

If you opt for a taxi, the drive from the airport to Benirrás Beach will typically cost between £52 to £65.

Meanwhile, hotel prices near Benirrás Beach can vary significantly, with some offering all-inclusive options and others being more expensive, like a Sea Scape one-bed suite at Ca Na Xica Hotel & Spa costing £3,550 per night.

“If you wanna [sic] see the other side of Ibiza with cultural experiences combined with magical nature, visiting that place is a must-do for you!” Franzi, who runs the  Franzi’s Footprints travel blog, says.

She adds: “What I am talking about is a pure nature dream: you’ll find a gorgeous beach there, crystal-clear water and hippie vibes, especially in the evenings!”

Franzi further notes: “In the morning you might be lucky, having the beach for your own. Then you can enjoy the clear water and take a calm sunbathe (it depends on the season, but from April till June and then again from September till October, it is quite chilled there).

“And of course – you shouldn’t forget to bring your snorkel! Surrounded by the cliffs, it´s just the perfect place to see the awesome, colourful underwater world of Ibiza with lots of fishes and stunning nature.”

Tui sys Ibiza is "pretty mild" at this time of year, adding: "It's a good idea to bring along a jumper or light jacket for the evenings." The average daily maximum is 20C and the average daily minimum is 11C.
