Red-hot Grand National favourite I Am Maximus could follow up his 2024 win after A.I robot Chat GPT ran this Saturday's race virtually ahead of time … and he won! Racing analysts used the popular artificial intelligence tool to run Saturday's 34 horse field earlier this week, to see it would predict the World's Greatest Steeplechase would play out.

And betting tips site www.sportscasting.com have now revealed a fence-by-fence account of who may fall and when, and that in the end the 2024 winner I Am Maximus came out top. Bravemansgame (50/1) came second; Minella Indo ridden by Rachael Blackmore (25/1) was third; Stay Away Fay (80/1) fourth and fifth was Royale Pagaille (100/1).

And bookies agree I Am Maximus could ride into the record books and emulate Tiger Roll and Red Rum by defending his Grand National title - as they have him red-hot favourite at odds of 13/2.

Coral's David Stevens said: "I Am Maximus was a brilliant winner of the race last year, and it’s not just the virtual world that thinks he can win back-to-back Nationals, millions of real world pounds will be riding on him on Saturday afternoon too.

"Not only does he have the form in the book, he’s got a fantastic name that will appeal to many of those having a flutter, and he’s trained by the champion trainer, Willie Mullins, so he really does tick all the boxes, and will start a red hot favourite for the biggest race of the year."

If he wins the horse - named after Russell Crowe's famous speech in Rome's Colosseum in Gladiator - bookmakers could be left millions of pounds out of pocket with 100,000 bets-a-minute on Saturday and £150m wagered on the whole race.

Sportscasting.com said: "Well if AI is right – the answer to the question, ‘who will win the Grand National 20025’ will be a repeat of last year – with the Willie Mullins-trained I Am Maximus defending his Aintree crown.

"Remember this is just a bit of fun, but with I Am Maximus one of the leading fancies again with the best horse racing betting sites in the UK, and, of course, last year’s hero – then many will still agree with the AI ChatGPT verdict.

"If correct, I Am Maximus, who is set to run with topweight of 11st 12lbs, will join the likes of Tiger Roll and Red Rum as ‘back-to-back’ Grand National winners.

"Plus, he’d also be giving trainer Willie Mullins a third success in the race – having won the prize in 2005 with Hedgehunter, in addition to the I Am Maximus win in 2024.

"I Am Maximus is owned by JP McManus too – and if he can cross the line in front once more, would also be giving him a fourth National success. Having also won it with Don’t Push It (2010) and Minella Times (2021).

"However, with a big weight of 11st 12lbs, I Am Maximus will be carrying 6lbs more on his back than 2024 – and will be looking to become the first horse to win with this sort of burden since Red Rum won with 12st in 1974."

A.I RACE START:

The 2025 Grand National gets underway in front of a packed crowd at Aintree, with the horses jumping away cleanly.

Bravemansgame (13) is prominent early on, with I Am Maximus (1) and Royale Pagaille (2) also in the early mix.

Hewick (5) and Minella Indo (6) settle just behind, keeping a steady pace.

Fence 1:

A clean jump for the entire field, with no issues at the first fence. I Am Maximus (1) takes the early lead, but the rest of the field is tightly packed. Hewick (5) appears a little keen and is slightly just off the pace at this stage.

Fence 2:

I Am Maximus (1) continues to show early dominance, jumping cleanly. Royale Pagaille (2) and Nick Rockett (3) are prominent, while Grangeclare West (4) and Bravemansgame (13) are also well-placed. Minella Indo (6) is content to sit in the mid-division early on.

Fence 3:

The early leaders hold their positions as the horses make their way toward the third fence. Bravemansgame (13) makes a slight error but recovers well. Hewick (5) looks slightly awkward but continues on without incident.

Fence 4:

I Am Maximus (1) maintains his lead, with Royale Pagaille (2) and Minella Indo (6) now moving up to challenge. Stumptown (10) and Grangeclare West (4) are both jumping well, staying in the middle of the pack.

Fence 5 – Becher’s Brook:

A major test for the horses, and here we see Stumptown (10) making a slight mistake, losing momentum but staying on.

Hewick (5) stumbles badly and unseats his rider at Becher’s Brook, much to the crowd’s dismay. Bravemansgame (13) is unflustered and continues toward the next fence.

Fence 6:

With Hewick (5) out of the race, the field heads towards the Foinavon fence.

I Am Maximus (1) is still holding the lead, while Minella Indo (6) and Bravemansgame (13) are close behind. Royale Pagaille (2) has started to fade slightly, but Nick Rockett (3) continues to push on.

Fence 7 – The Canal Turn:

I Am Maximus (1) jumps cleanly but Grangeclare West (4) takes a wider route, nearly brushing the rail on the inside.

Minella Indo (6) and Bravemansgame (13) continue to apply pressure as they head towards the Melling Road section. There’s no further carnage, but Conflated (9) is now struggling to stay with the pack.

Fence 8-9:

The horses clear the Melling Road section with I Am Maximus (1) still in front, but Minella Indo (6) and Bravemansgame (13) are gaining momentum.

Nick Rockett (3) is starting to fade as Royale Pagaille (2) remains in the mix. Perceval Legallois (16) has moved up, looking in good form.

Fence 10 – The Chair:

A major test for the horses, and Minella Indo (6) and Bravemansgame (13) both jump it superbly. I Am Maximus (1) has a slight stumble but stays in front.

Conflated (9) is out of contention now, falling behind rapidly.

Fence 11-12:

Bravemansgame (13) begins to challenge I Am Maximus (1), while Minella Indo (6) is still within striking distance.

Perceval Legallois (16) and Royale Pagaille (2) are both starting to make moves toward the front. Stay Away Fay (25) has quietly moved up to the middle of the pack, looking strong.

Fence 13-14:

As the horses approach the Valentine’s Brook section, I Am Maximus (1) and Bravemansgame (13) are still neck and neck, but Minella Indo (6) has dropped back slightly.

Stay Away Fay (25) continues to push forward, while Coko Beach (24) is still running steadily.

Fence 15 – The 16th Fence:

The leaders remain tight, but as they approach the final stretch, I Am Maximus (1) has a marginal lead over Bravemansgame (13) with Minella Indo (6) still hanging on. Stay Away Fay (25) begins to make a move on the outside, catching the leaders.

Final Fence:

The final stretch and around the elbow and I Am Maximus (1) proves to be too strong, holding off a late charge from Bravemansgame (13). Minella Indo (6) is a gallant third, while Stay Away Fay (25) finishes an impressive fourth.

2025 Chat GPT AI Aintree Grand National Final Result:

1 - I AM MAXIMUS (1) – A brilliant repeat performance from last year’s winner, holding off the competition and finishing strong.

2 - Bravemansgame (13) – A valiant effort, finishing second after a great battle with the winner.

3 - Minella Indo (6) – A strong and consistent effort, securing a well-deserved third place.

4 - Stay Away Fay (25) – A fantastic late charge, finishing just outside the top 3.

5 - Royale Pagaille (2) – Stayed in the mix, but lacked the final push needed to contend for the win.

6 - Perceval Legallois (16) – A solid effort throughout, finishing in the top 6.

7 - Nick Rockett (3) – Held position for much of the race but couldn’t keep up with the pace in the latter stages.

8 - Coko Beach (24) – Stayed in contention throughout but finished just outside the top 7.

9 - Grangeclare West (4) – A consistent run but unable to match the front runners.

10 - Iroko (18) – A surprising finish, staying on well in the final stages.
