Prince Andrew’s sex abuse accuser Virginia Giuffre has been discharged from hospital a week after she said she had just “four days to live” following a crash.

The 41-year-old, who described herself as paedophile Jeffrey Epstein’s teenage “sex slave”, was admitted last week in Perth, Western Australia. It followed an accident with a bus on March 24.

Despite saying she was suffering from kidney failure and having four days to live, she was reportedly discharged yesterday. Her departure came six days after being admitted in the early hours of April 1.

Hospital sources confirmed she was escorted out of the facility via a rear exit by security personnel and a family member to avoid a large contingent of media gathered outside the main entrance. Ms Giuffre's hospitalisation followed a visit to Joondalup Health Campus, where she underwent tests revealing a kidney-related issue. She was later admitted to the specialist facility at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital.

The mother-of-three sparked concern after she posted a message on Instagram while lying in a hospital bed with facial bruising.

“I've gone into kidney renal failure, they've given me four days to live, transferring me to a specialist hospital in urology,” she wrote. Over the weekend, Giuffre spoke to People magazine, marking her first detailed public statement since the alarming social media post.

In the interview, she recounted a serious health scare and referenced an incident that she said occurred in January.

“I was able to fight back against Ghislaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein who abused and trafficked me... I can no longer stay silent,” she told the publication, adding her thanks to the public for their support during her health battle.

Her brother, Sky Roberts, later clarified the “four days to live” comment, stating that doctors had informed the family that without urgent treatment, her condition could have been fatal. He noted that while her recent crash involving a bus in rural Western Australia may have contributed to her condition, doctors had not confirmed the cause of her kidney failure.

“Let’s be clear, she never stated the bus accident was the cause of all her other injuries,” Roberts said. “Nobody ever said her liver issues and kidney failure were ever from that… that’s up to her doctor to determine.”

Police and the bus driver involved in the crash reported that the incident was minor, and multiple witnesses also contradicted Ms Giuffre’s implication that it was a serious accident. The update on Ms Giuffre’s condition comes amid renewed attention on her personal life.

She has recently split with her husband of 22 years, Robert Giuffre, who is currently understood to be looking after the couple’s three children.

Last week it emerged, she was facing court over allegedly breaching a restraining order. Ms Giuffre has been charged with breaching a family violence restraining order in Ocean Reef, near Perth, on February 2, Western Australia (WA) Courts said.

Her case was first heard in Joondalup Magistrates' Court in northern Perth on March 14, where she did not enter a plea and the case is due back in court on April 9.

Meanwhile, her estranged husband is also listed at the same court the month before for allegedly 'providing inadequate storage facility for firearms'.

Ms Giuffre has remained a central figure in the global fallout from the Epstein case. In a widely publicised civil lawsuit settled in 2022, she accused Prince Andrew of sexual abuse when she was 17 — an allegation he has vehemently denied.

The case was settled out of court with no admission of guilt. The royal is reported to have agreed to a £12 million settlement.

Andrew was stripped of his titles and his HRH status due to his friendship with Epstein and the allegations against him.
