The weather may be good in the UK at the moment, but that’s likely going to change at some point, meaning that you’ll want to escape the pouring rain in favour of somewhere a little warmer.
If you’re looking for a budget holiday, then TikTok travel influencer @emsbudgettravels recommends that you go to Alicante in Spain. She did a breakdown of the costs for those interested, which included flights from her “tiny regional airport, Norwich”.
Em explained that she flew with Ryanair and got the best deal she thought she’d “ever seen” because they were “just £44 return and at really good times too”.
This meant that she was able to “maximise” her time away, and even meant that they were able to get to the airport just 45 minutes beforehand because the airport she flew from was so small.
Em also shared that it means she can walk to the airport after work if the flight is at 6.30pm “without having to take any extra time off”.
She then showed where they stayed in Alicante, which was an apartment booked through booking.com, and it was £57.90 each for the two nights.
She said: “It was really good because it had everything we needed. It was nice and clean and in the city centre”.
Em spent £50.30 when she was in Alicante, saying it was “really good” considering they “ate out for every meal”.
“For transport, I spent £6.62. I had an old airport bus card so I added 10 trips onto this so I’ve actually got some leftover on it,” she shared. Em also bought a magnet for £1.04, so in total, she spent £159.86.
She said: “I think that’s pretty good, especially considering the flights were from Norwich.
'It just goes to show that you can still sometimes find really good deals from smaller regional airports, not just London”.
