Meghan Markle has shared a rare update about her daughter Princess Lilibet in the first episode of her new podcast. The Duchess of Sussex, 40, is celebrating the launch of her podcast Confessions of a Female Founder today, with the first episode having now been released on various streaming platforms.
In the episode, the mum-of-two sits down for a heartfelt chat with her friend and creator of the popular dating app Bumble, Whitney Wolfe Herd. During her first conversation, Meghan not only took the opportunity to speak about a health battle she faced, but she also gave a rare update on her daughter, Princess Lilibet, three.
When talking about Lilibet, Meghan said her daughter still naps and only does half days at preschool, with the Duchess admitting that she wouldn’t have life as a mum “any other way”.
She said in the episode: "If she (Lilibet) wakes up and wants to find me, she knows where to find me, even if my door is closed to the office.
"She'll be sitting there on my lap during one of these meetings with a grid of all the executives… I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
Meghan also revealed that she loves being able to balance being a mum with her new business As Ever - a brand that currently sells crepe mixes, fruit spreads, flower sprinkles and herbal teas.
Speaking about the ability to work from her Montecito mansion and see her children as much as possible, the Duchess said: “I don't want to miss those moments. I don't want to miss pickup if I don’t have to. I don't want to miss drop-off.”
She continued: “Technology is a beautiful tool for parents because you can dial in and be present and do a great job on the call while you sit in the carpool line outside school. Like, why do I need to be at a desk? I have the same mental opinion in a carpool line.”
