Meghan Markle launched her long-awaited podcast on Tuesday as the first episode of Confessions of a Female Founder dropped on streaming platforms today. Lemonada Media described the podcast as being for "anyone who’s interested in turning their own entrepreneurial dreams into a reality". For social media users, however, the majority believe the podcast is "all about Meghan".

Taking to social media, users who have listened to the first episode, featuring entrepreneur and Bumble founder Whitney Wolfe Herd, shared their thoughts on the interactions between host and guest. One questioned the idea behind the podcast: "So basically all the confessions are about her and she just has people come in and listen to her talk about herself?"

Whereas another X user wrote: "Meghan Markle launches her podcast and of course she makes it about herself."

A third also criticised the Duchess podcast attempt: "Meghan Markle’s wastes NO time making this podcast all about herself Like ZERO seconds."

Despite the 'Confessions of a Female Founder' aiming to focus on "advice and insights" from female entrepreneurs, fans described how Meghan's new podcast seems like a "mommy blog".

One user wrote: "Umm, I’m sorry, is Meghan Markle doing a podcast on business or a mommy blog? People don’t want to listen to a 'business', yes that is how she categorized it, podcast and listen to her talk about her pregnancies. This podcast seems as bad as I anticipated."

Upon the first announcement of the podcast series, Meghan admittedly described how she would weave both business building and friendships together: "I’m so proud of what we’re creating, and the candid conversations that I’m able to have with other female founders as we unpack the twists and turns of building a business.

"Through my friendships and relationships, we’re able to dive into the type of insights that everyone wants to know as they’re building a business, and that I’m able to tap into as I’m building my own business with As ever."

However, some Meghan Markle fans have enjoyed the moments shared between the two friends in episode one. X user wrote: "I enjoyed it. Good to see women supporting and caring for other women."

One fan added: "It felt just like diving into a lively girl talk, blending laughter and joy seamlessly into every moment!"

The Duchess of Sussex has had a busy 2025 with the launch of her Netflix show 'With Love, Meghan' and the simultaneous launch of her brand 'As Ever'.

The start of the year also saw the return of Meghan Markle to social media, where she has been sharing her behind-the-scenes antics on Instagram, showing sneak peeks into both family and working life.
