Meghan Markle has received a major boost today as her new podcast makes it into the top 10 chart in all categories on Apple Podcasts. The first episode of Confessions Of A Female Founder was released yesterday to the public, just a month after the release of her Netflix show “With Love, Meghan”.
In the first episode of the series, Meghan, 43, sat down with her friend and Bumble founder Whitney Wolfe Herd and saw the duo talk about a number of different topics. During the episode, the Duchess of Sussex made a series of revelations, including the fact she suffered from postpartum preeclampsia. The duchess also spoke about her life balancing parenthood and work.
While the podcast received some criticism yesterday from people believing the podcast was very centred around the duchess as opposed to her guest, it seems that the launch of the first episode was enough of a success to make it into the top 10 on Apple Podcasts. It's number six in the Top Podcast Charts.
It is also number one in the Top Business Podcasts category. Lemonada media has been ranked number nine in the top subscriber channels list.
This has been met with celebration by her fans, who have taken to X to share the good news.
One person wrote: “Omg! Congrats, Meghan!!”
Another said: “This is wonderful..for such a niche topic!” A third commented: “So excited for Meghan.”
The new podcast series is being produced and released by Lemonada Media, who describe the series as being full of “candid conversations”.
In a description of the series on social media just weeks ago, Lemonada Media wrote: “As Meghan herself navigates the world of entrepreneurship with the upcoming launch of her brand As Ever, be inspired by the real, unfiltered stories and lessons learned from notable female founders—from knowing your worth, to trusting your gut, securing investors, and investing in yourself.”
