Kate Garraway has been spotted arriving for work in London just days after her Life Stories interview with Jeremy Kyle sparked major backlash from fans. In new snaps, taken on Tuesday (April 8), the mother-of-two was seen with her hair in curlers, ready for a day in front of the camera. The new photographs pictured Kate, 57, could be seen getting out of the back of a black minivan, wearing a stylish black and white gingham jacket with pink accents and printed cuffs. She paired the statement jacket with a pink ribbed jumper and a pair of dark blue skinny jeans.
The Good Morning Britain presenter’s footwear of choice was a chunky brown boot. She totted three bags worth of goods into the capital studio, including a cream shopper with her initials engraved into the side. The images come after Kate Garraway’s Life Stories returned to ITV last week, with special guest Jeremy Kyle, 59. The programme received an influx of negative comments from viewers, with some reporting that ITV was trying to “rebrand” the former The Jeremy Kyle Show presenter by having him appear alongside Kate.
Days before Life Stories premiered on ITV, the star candidly revealed the pressure that came with looking after her late husband, Derek Draper, who died last January. “He puts huge trust in me. He just says, 'Whatever you think', which is wonderful, but I do get quite tearful about it,” she wrote in Mail on Sunday's You Magazine. I think, 'God, I hope I'm worthy of that trust'. She added: "But I've got his back. That is a relationship in itself, isn't it?”
