Prince George may be a future King, but like many other children his age, he has various skills and hobbies he likes. The second in line to the British throne is known for his love of football, tennis and triathlons.
But it looks like he will likely continue another family tradition, following the footsteps of his parents, the Prince and Princess of Wales, as well as his grandfather, King Charles and great-grandfather, Prince Philip. The Wales family are no strangers to scuba diving as both William and Kate have tried it before, with the heir to the throne being patron of Swim England since 2017.
William, who is also the president of the British Sub-Aqua Club (BSAC), was the captain of the water polo team when he was attending St Andrews University in his youth.
During an event with BSAC members, the heir to the throne previously said: "It's a great honour to be here with my father and accept the presidency of the British Sub-Aqua Club, continuing that from my grandfather as well.
"I hope that one day my son George might follow in our footsteps. For the moment bath time is quite painful, but I imagine as he gets a little bit older, donning a mask and snorkel might calm him down."
William also revealed George's love for scuba diving last year during a meeting with Olympic champions Adam Peaty and Tom Dean in October.
He said: "George loves scuba diving. He's 11 years old. We took him under thinking he would freak out. He absolutely loves it. It's just introducing him to the world of water."
In 2014, when handing the BSAC presidency to William, King Charles said: "I can only assume that his interest probably stems from the fact that I threw him into the swimming pool on many occasions.
"Instead of putting him off, it actually enthused him, so I'm thrilled that he has decided to carry on the tradition started really by my father."
He added: "I know my eldest son will now demonstrate his buff credentials, by leaping bodily into this very welcoming - and I didn't realise existed - swimming pool."
Meanwhile, mum Kate is also a fan of scuba diving, as well as other types of swimming, including cold water swimming.
