Motorists heading out on a Saturday have been warned there are severe delays on the M1 southbound between J19 and J18. The travel nightmare is being caused by planned road works, National Highways said.
Traffic cameras show a long queue of vehicles stuck in traffic. The organisation warned motorists to allow extra journey time and plan ahead, advising those who can to re-route or even delay their journey.
