Mel B has sparked a major frenzy among fans after she took to Instagram and cryptically posted a message calling on her friends and former bandmates to return to the stage. The singer, who was nicknamed Scary Spice, is one-fifth of the record-breaking British girl band Spice Girls, alongside Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton, Mel C, and Gerri Halliwell-Horner.
Mel hinted that the women could make their musical comeback after disbanding in 2000. As they labelled it a "hiatus" and have collaborated multiple times since fans are certain they could another arena tour could be in the works. Together they enjoyed major success after selling 100 million records worldwide, making them the best-selling girl group of all time
The 49-year-old shared a clip of herself casually scrolling through photos from the early stages of her career while riding in the back of a car.
This clip which also featured memorable snapshots from her "girl power," days, featured Mel sporting a bright blue sweatshirt and green headphones, including her trademark leopard-print piece of clothing on her lap, while another printed item was nestled by the window.
Taking to the caption, the America's Got Talent judge wrote: " I'm Organising my pics, and it’s all Spice Girls, maybe it’s time to do it all over again?"
This sparked a major meltdown among her 1.7 million followers. They took to the comments with anticipation and thrill as one exclaimed: "The people of the world are READY!!!"
Another begged: "PLEASE convince Vicky B to join you too!!"
A third echoed: "Ohhhh? Is this a hint to another Spice Girls reunion?? I couldn't agree more. I think it's time too! (Need to get all 5 back together!)"
Among the fans was famed American columnist Perez Hilton, who also pleaded: "Don’t tease us!!!!!! We need this!!! Especially in America! Vegas residency at @spherevegas! Please!!!!!"
The Spice Girls last went on tour in 2019, and they played in stadiums across the UK and Ireland. However, it was only four out of all five members as Victoria snubbed the tour after deciding to focus on her clothing brand and family life.
The singers last publically reunited at the fashion designer's 50th birthday party, where her husband David Beckham filmed the five of them singing their 1997 smash hit, Stop, for the party guests.
