A BBC radio presenter has made a brutal 10-word swipe at Meghan Markle today on a live show. During BBC Radio Four’s Today show on Monday, presenter Nick Robinson made a joke about The Duchess of Sussex, 43, during a conversation about American celebrities.
While talking about the fact celebrities, including American TV host Gayle King and American pop star Katy Perry, are leading the space trip with Jeff Bezos's rocket company Blue Origin, Robinson made a 10-word swipe at Meghan. He said: “Surely Meghan Markle's got to be on the next one [rocket].” When finding out Prince Harry’s wife is friends with Gayle King, he then said: “Ah, it's only a matter of time.”
The first podcast episode was released just over a month after her Netflix show “With Love, Meghan” also hit TV screens for the first time.
While the duchess has a number of projects ongoing, her husband Prince Harry, 40, seems to have little involvement with these, with the couple instead focusing on their own individual work commitments.
Just last week, Harry - who quit royal life with Meghan in 2020 - was in Ukraine with The Invictus Games Foundation as part of his charity work.
Meghan did not accompany her husband on the trip, which he took straight after attending court hearings in the UK regarding his security entitlements, and instead stayed at home focusing on her own work projects with their two children Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three.
