Scottish radio host Lynne Hoggan has been rushed to hospital for emergency surgery after two aneurysms. Hailing from Slamannan in Falkirk, Lynne fell unwell two weeks ago and was taken to hospital where medics discovered a "sizeable" bleed in her brain. Lynne has worked on radio stations such as Clyde 1, Forth 1, Tay FM, Northsound 1 and MFR. Her family posted a sad update on social media after fans noticed her disappearance on the radio waves. Posting on Instagram, Lynne's sister-in-law wrote: "A little life update - from Lynne's sister in law, Rachel (as instructed by Lynne herself).

"I appreciate a lot of you have been messaging Lynne and wondering where she has been lately. Unfortunately, a week ago she took unwell and it turned out to be a sizeable bleed on the brain which was two aneurysms. She has now had surgery and stents put in her brain and is recovering in the best care possible."

She added, "Lynne still has a long way to go and will be in hospital for a while and is unable to communicate properly at the moment whilst she is recovering. She appreciates all the love and support and will be in touch with all the individuals that have reached out to her once she is better. If anyone needs anything or wants me to pass anything onto Lynne, please just get in touch!"

Many of Lynne's fans flooded the comments section with words of support. DJ Robin Galloway wrote: "Shocked to hear this news. Radio and life needs Lynne Hogan on it and in it. Praying for a full and speedy recovery. A special talent and cherished friend."

A second person wrote: "Sending you lots of love! Hope recovery is swift for you." A third also chimed in, "Sending you lots of positive vibes and love! Speedy recovery."

A fourth also commented, "Can you please pass on to Lynne that absolutely everybody is wishing her a very, very speedy recovery. Come on Lynne, we’re all with you. "

According to the NHS website, a brain aneurysm is a bulge in a blood vessel caused by a weakness in the wall of the blood vessel, usually where it branches.
