Meghan Markle has been snubbed for a key award - but she may not be two disappointed as Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet's "auntie" was given the honour instead. It comes as the Duchess of Sussex has been invited to speak at the TIME100 Summit on April 23.
Meghan is expected to travel to New York City next week to join "the world's most influential people" at the fifth-annual Summit. Despite receiving an invite, Meghan, 43, has not been featured on any of the five worldwide covers for TIME's 100 most influential people list. She did not even make the list of the top 100 names.
The magazine has five different personalities gracing the worldwide covers and has revealed its annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world for 2025. Those on the list includes tennis player Serena Williams, singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran and mass rape survivor Gisele Pelicot.
Donald Trump is on the list for the 7th time, and is joined by other political figures including Elon Musk, J.D Vance and Keir Starmer.
Serena Williams is also one of the five personalities gracing the covers - and is widely known to be one of Meghan's long-time friends.
Meghan has also previously referred to Serena as Archie and Lilibet's "auntie" - with former tennis player and entrepreneur previously featuring in one of her Instagram stories alongside Meghan's three-year-old daughter.
As well as being in attendance, Meghan is gearing up to speak at the event - and will highlight their continued presence in influential circles.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were previously featured on the front cover of Time Magazine in 2021. It remains unknown whether they will attend the TIME100 Gala - which will take place one day after the summit.
The Summit will coincide with Prince Louis' seventh birthday on April 23.
Meghan's participation in the Summit continues to highlight her public role since stepping back as a senior working member of the Royal Family.
The Duke, 40, and Duchess have lived in California with their two children since 2020.
