Wetherspoons pubs have become a staple of British culture, attracting thousands of visitors daily. A pub in Kent has emerged as the top contender for one of the best in the country - and it's also the world's biggest. Casino company Captain Caz analysed thousands of Google Reviews to determine which Wetherspoons deserves the highest praise.

Ramsgate locals will be pleased to learn that not only is their town home to the world's largest Spoons, but it also boasts the second-highest rated one. The Royal Victoria Pavilion, almost a landmark in Ramsgate, takes up a significant portion of the town's coastline.

Known for its seaside views, immense size, and striking Grade-II listed interior, the pub spans an impressive 11,000 square feet and can accommodate up to 1,400 guests at once.

Originally a concert and assembly hall dating back to 1903, the site's grand interior is said to have been inspired by the Little Theatre in Versailles. The venue later served as a nightclub and casino before closing in 2008.

The building remained vacant for nearly a decade until it was taken over by the pub chain in 2017. A whopping £4.5 million was invested to fully refurbish it, transforming it into one of the brand's flagship venues.

The establishment has clearly won over many customers, as evidenced by the hundreds of positive reviews left online. It now boasts an impressive excellence rating of 58.48%, according to Captain Caz's data.

It narrowly missed out on the top spot by just 1.86%, with Manchester's Bishop Blaize, located near Old Trafford, taking the crown as the best Wetherspoons.

Kent is home to a total of 23 Wetherspoons pubs, including other seaside branches in Dover, Whitstable, Folkestone and Herne Bay. However, only the Ramsgate location made it onto the list.
