GB News was cut short mid broadcast for a 'record-breaking' announcement, dealing Keir Starmer a second major blow to his leadership. Political commentator Andy Williams was on the show discussing the growing amount of 'illegal immigrants' who have arrived in Britain – some 30,000 – since Labour took office. Countering Former Chief Immigration Officer at UK Border Forcer, Kevin Saunders' views that it was a mistake to cancel the Rwanda scheme, he maintained that he believes that approach would never have worked.
Asked for his response, Kevin said: "I don't agree, the Labour party have made a complete and utter hash of this. The Home Office were ready to go on Rwanda, Home Office internal research had shown that the Rwanda scheme would have made a difference. It was a big mistake to cancel it." The opinions come after the Labour party were forced to offer reassurances that British security ties with the United States are as strong as ever following the mistaken disclosure to a journalist of a conversation about U.S. military action in Yemen.
