David Beckham is eagerly anticipating his 50th birthday next month, but there are concerns that his eldest son Brooklyn may not be in attendance. Earlier this year, reports emerged of a feud between brothers Brooklyn and Romeo, allegedly centred around Romeo's girlfriend Kim Turnbull.
Kim was reportedly involved with Brooklyn nearly nine years ago, and it's suggested that he and his wife Nicola Peltz question Kim's intentions towards Romeo, reports the Mirror. Since then, Brooklyn and Nicola have been noticeably absent from several high-profile events, including David's early birthday celebration in Miami. As the actual birthday approaches, Victoria is reportedly organising a 'top secret' family trip.
Despite being invited, there are growing concerns that Brooklyn and Nicola might opt out, which would deeply upset David. A source told MailOnline: "Family is everything to David.
"He is a working class boy who grew up with strong connections to his grandparents and parents, and he loves nothing more than to see his boys, and Harper, being so close. While the location will be perfect and stunning, what he wants most is for his family to be around him, happily getting along."
An insider revealed to the outlet that "it would absolutely destroy David" if any family disagreements escalated into major issues. They went on: "It would be the best birthday present ever for David to have all of his children and their partners happily having a wonderful time together. That's what really puts a smile on his face."
Victoria Beckham recently celebrated her 51st birthday, yet Brooklyn seemed to be the only one who didn't publicly send birthday wishes to his mum.
The ex-Spice Girl hinted that Brooklyn and his sibling Cruz Beckham, 20, might not have been part of her birthday festivities, as they were noticeably absent from the photos shared of the event.
Brooklyn chose to share snaps of himself and Nicola enjoying Coachella in California instead of posting a birthday tribute to his mother on Instagram. The influencer took to Instagram to share memories from Coachella, captioning his post: "Made amazing memories this year x [heart emoji]."
Back in March, when Brooklyn turned 26, David posted an affectionate Instagram homage. Alongside a nostalgic photo of them together during Brooklyn's childhood, David wrote: "Happy Birthday Bust x we love you so much have the best day lots of cake and hot sauce. We miss you."
