Meghan Markle took to Instagram over the weekend to not only wish her fans a Happy Easter, but to also share a video of something the Duchess of Sussex, 43, was surprised by. In the video, Meghan, 43, could be seen standing on the side of a path in a white dress, watching on as a family of ducks crossed the path together.
The video shows the duchess looking surprised and shocked by the appearance of the ducks in what she referred to as an Easter “surprise”. She wrote in the caption: “Wishing you a Happy Easter full of love….and surprises!” However, while many of Meghan’s fans thought the video, believed to be filmed on the family’s Montecito estate, was sweet, some critics have accused Prince Harry’s wife of having staged the video.
One person wrote on X: “Someone just happened to be there with a camera. Call me cynical but……”
Another said: “Someone just HAPPENED to be filming at that point in the driveway when both the ducks and Megsy popped out of the undergrowth, yeah right, not set up at all.”
A third wrote: “Who was filming this and where did Meghan get the family of ducks? So many questions that are never answered.”
The video of the ducks was shared on Easter Sunday by the duchess.
It is believed Meghan celebrated Easter at the family home in Montecito with Prince Harry, 40, and their two children Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three.
It is not known exactly how they marked the festivities.
