A major ITV presenter revealed they were "gutted" after being approached to join Celebrity Traitors but couldn't participate in the series. Martin Lewis, also known as the Money Saving Expert, has told fans that he is suffering from FOMO (Fear of missing out) after the broadcaster announced the full celebrity line-up today. 19 famous faces will be entering the BBC's most gripping reality show, where Traitors will 'kill off' a faithful member each day without causing suspicion within the group. Season three of the series concluded in January, with players Leanne and Jake making it all the way to the final and sharing the prize money.
Taking to Instagram, Martin shared his dismay at being unable to participate. He wrote, "I’m no Traitor (sadly) I've got FOMO looking at the Celebrity Traitors line up. I was asked if I wanted to do it, but said no as I couldn't commit the time. I hadn't watched it then (but watched the last series after that & loved it) so now feel a little gutted - though I still don't have the time. Sigh!"
Many of his loyal fans couldn't quite believe the news, with many reacting that he would have been perfect on the gripping series. One person said, "Ohhhh you would have been soooo good!"
A second also chimed in, "You would have been amazing! What you’re doing for our country is incredible, and everyone is so thankful! Next year, Traitors will be yours!" A third also typed, "Mate, you're single-handedly keeping the UK public from bankruptcy, you don't have the time! I really appreciate your help, though!" [sic]
