Meghan Markle has candidly revealed why she needs to rush back home from the TIME100 Summit in New York City to Los Angeles. The Duchess of Sussex said was excited to be at home for a major milestone for her eldest, Prince Archie, five, who was about to lose his first tooth.

Meghan said responsibilities surrounding her business were just as important as things like her son's loose tooth, adding he was going to lose it "this week." She explained: "What we're going to put out during our next launch is equally as important to me as Archie getting his first [big] tooth this week. It's about to happen, I might get back just in time for it!"

The latest revelation about Prince Archie, who celebrates his sixth birthday on May 6, came on the same day that his cousin Prince Louis turned 7 and showed off his toothless smile in a birthday portrait released by his parents, Princess Kate and Prince William.

At the event in New York, Meghan, 43, was asked how she handles being under a "microscope" and facing immense "scrutiny".

She explained that she has made a "very conscious effort to create boundaries for herself, her well-being, and mental health".

She added that it's especially important for her to be a good role model to raise a "confident young woman". She also said: "But also having son, I think that is just as paramount. [It's important] for young men to be raised with a confidence and sense of self that is going to empower the women around them too."

The duchess also said that she’s the "happiest I’ve ever been" to Jessica Sibley, the chief executive officer of Time. She explained: "To have a partner and a husband who is so supportive and have healthy kids who are so joyful… I never would have imagined at this point I would feel so happy and grateful, and I really do."

Meghan wore a neutral-toned Ralph Lauren suit for the event where she was joined by her husband, Prince Harry. The event coincides with the birthday of Prince William and Kate's youngest son, Prince Louis, who turned 7 today.

She wore a white button-down top that she tucked into the loose-fitting trousers, pairing the look with a £222 Veronica Beard brown belt and £375 Stuart Weitzman suede heels. She accessorised with a Cartier gold watch and a pair of gold hoop earrings.

Meghan spoke about her experience while filming her Netflix show, 'With Love, Meghan' and explained the decision not to film at their actual home in California.

The mother-of-two explained she had a huge crew helping her film. She said: "Eighty people in the kitchen isn't really the childhood memory I would love for them to have."
