An audience member appeared to faint during an episode of Antiques Roadshow after an expert described an antique doll and claimed it was worth thousands.
The woman, watching from the crowd, appeared to faint upon learning how rare the doll was, with an expert explaining how special editions were "marked on the sole of the right foot, if she's one of those, we're talking in the region of £100,000".
Despite the doll not having been checked for the marking yet, the woman fell to the floor unexpectedly.
However, all was not as it seemed, as the episode of Antiques Roadshow was actually a set-up by comedian Michael McIntyre for a special segment on his hit BBC series Michael McIntyre's Big Show.
Michael had opted to pull a prank on audience member Danny, who was revealed to be a huge fan of Antiques Roadshow, with the help of Danny's wife, Pauline.
Michael created a fake edition of the BBC show using items from Danny's home, including the antique doll. As Danny tuned into the episode at home, his reactions were filmed while his wife kept quiet about her involvement.
"She fainted, did you see that?" Danny exclaimed. "They've not done anything, they've left her!"
Danny was taken aback to see so many items he owned appear on the episode, as the experts looked at a flask and an exercise bike.
He said: "Can we just get this right, lets recap here. The doll is the same, the vintage flask is exactly the same, and then the two tankards are exactly the same. This is not right."
Michael's prank didn't stop there however, as the comedian then appeared in the episode in disguise. Donning a fake nose and grey wig, Michael was introduced as a new specialist named Seymoor Biselle.
Danny quickly recognised the TV star however, asking: "Who is the man? Is that Michael McIntyre?"
Michael then spoke to the camera and revealed what was happening to a stunned Danny, saying: "Danny, of course, what's happened is lovely, Pauline has set you up!"
Danny admitted he was "blown away" by Michael's "surreal" prank, and later appeared in the audience of Michael's BBC One show, alongside Pauline.
Reflecting on the prank, Danny laughed: "When you see moments like this on TV you think, 'That could never happen, you'd see that coming a mile off wouldn't you?' it just got me hook line and sinker, it was good fun."
Michael McIntyre's Big Show is available to stream on BBC iPlayer. Antique's Roadshow airs on Sundays on BBC One at 8pm.
