Princess Kate enjoys this food but it’s one that is notorious for being a “love it or hate it” meal. The princess is a keen chef with a passion for cooking healthy meals. While visiting Japan House London with Prince William, the couple revealed how much they love sushi.
Talking to Japanese chef Akira, William said: “Very impressive,” while eating some salmon sashimi. “Thank you very much. My wife and I love sushi. We might have to come down here for lunch when no one else is in.”
But this isn’t the only food Kate likes to eat for lunch - there’s another favourite she enjoys. During her royal tour of India with Prince William, Chef Raghu Deora was tasked with creating dishes for the royal couple during their stay at the Taj Mahal Palace.
The chef revealed that he served up a lunch of vegetable kebabs and lentil curry for the pair.
“It is all vegetarian because I was told that was what they preferred,” he explained.
The Princess is not a vegetarian, but reports have revealed she mainly likes to eat meat-free dishes for lunch.
As for snacks, the Princess is known to favour healthy snacks such as raw fruit and vegetables such as goji berries.
While visiting children at Great Ormond Street Hospital in 2018, she revealed to a four-year-old patient: “I used to eat lots and lots of olives when I was little as well.”
According to Hello! Magazine, she even told a child during a visit to LEYF (London Early Years Foundation) Stockwell Gardens Nursery and Pre-school in London in January 2020 that she loves papaya.
And for a sweet treat, Kate’s pudding of choice is the British classic sticky toffee pudding, which she often enjoys at the Old Boot Inn in Stanford Dingley, Berkshire.
These tasty food items are enjoyed by many other Brits across the country but sushi is one that is often suited to a more refined palate.
