Ruth Langsford has shared a video of boxes that she is waiting to unpack into her home on social media. They were full to the brim with carefully packaged clothes and handbags. In the clip the Loose Women star laughingly said: "So this is how I'm spending my afternoon!"

She went on to explain that she has received a QVC haul, adding: "That's handbags in there, this is all my spring/summer stock. Look at those lovely colours! That's all got to be unpacked and hung up." The presenter has been living alone in Surrey since the breakdown of her marriage with former This Morning co-star Eamonn Holmes. While sources close to Langsford admit that she has had a "tough year", she put on a brave face while celebrating her first birthday without her ex husband this March. She told friends that she was "determined to have a good birthday", and those close to her made an effort to make the day a cheerful occasion.

The insider source also revealed that both of the exes are "trying to move on with their lives". Langsford previously spoke about how she was coping with the split to Woman and Home Magazine, saying: "Relationship breakdowns are very difficult, but you deal with it and have to move on. You can let yourself crumble or you pick yourself up and get on with life. It's a choice.

"I’m not delighted my marriage is over, but I’ve accepted it. I’m trying to now embrace the fact I’m single and can make choices that are just about me.

"Divorce is very painful. Most don’t do it in the public eye, with everybody having an opinion. But that’s the nature of my job. I’ve always had that and if you can’t cope, you shouldn’t be doing this job."

According to the Sun, the final blow for Eamonn and Ruth's marriage came when she heard him on the phone having an intimate conversation with another woman.

A source recently told the tabloid: "Eamonn thought he was in the house alone while he was chatting on the phone. But Ruth could hear him from elsewhere in the house and was totally horrified.

"She confronted Eamonn. It was quite a shock — for both of them. Eamonn had no idea Ruth was in the house at the time. It was a huge blow to Ruth... to discover he was sharing intimate chats with another woman was a real kick in the teeth for Ruth."

The insider did not reveal who Eamonn was having this alleged intimate conversation with. He is now in a relationship with his new girlfriend, Katie Alexander.
