A married teacher embroiled in a scandalous affair with her teenage student penned a bizarre memoir where she accused the youngster of "cheating on her". Christina Formella, 30, stands charged with the sexual molestation of a 15 year old pupil during their pre-school tutoring sessions as of December 2023.
As the boy's football coach at Downers Grove South High School in Chicago, US, Formella is alleged to have taken advantage of their roles when she offered him additional tutoring before classes began. She has entered a plea of not guilty to charges of aggravated criminal sexual abuse and assault.
Shockingly, diary entries discovered on her phone reveal Formella's twisted perspective, casting the teen as the destroyer of not only their illicit liaison but also her marital union, even accusing him of "cheating" on her. In one of the diary entries, Formella vents: "You're so f****** predictable and disgusting. Shocker. You cheated on me with her. All I was to you was someone to f***."
She continued to document her side of the story, detailing, "I went back and screen shotted every, single, time that I said we should break up until after the wedding and after you graduated. And every single f****** time you came back and convinced me it would be fine.", reports the Daily Star.
She lambasted the teenager further, writing, "YOU ruined us. I warned you we should never have started dating a long long long f****** time ago and you gas lit me and convinced me it was fine."
The rambling note went on to say: "I'm f****** mad I let a 16 year old f*** with me like that ... in the end, we both lost. You lost the girl who would have stuck with you through thick and thin, who would have changed anything about herself to make you happy." Initially, when questioned by the authorities, Formella denied any sexual contact, suggesting that "everybody comes after her because she is good looking and she is just a good person who cared too much about [the boy]", as stated in court documents.
However, she later changed her story, alleging that the boy was "stalking" her.
Throughout her interview, Formella attempted to portray the accuser as her "Throughout her interview, [Formella] tried to paint [the accuser] as her 'stalker' and claimed that her husband was aware,", claiming her husband was aware of the situation, according to prosecutors in court documents obtained by the New York Post.
She alleged that on one occasion, the boy had taken her phone without her knowledge, entered her passcode, sent a message to his own phone, deleted the message from her phone, and saved it to his phone as blackmail, as stated in court documents.
Bodycam footage of Formella's arrest shows her appearing confused as an officer approaches her window and orders her to exit, explaining: "I know you're confused, I'll explain everything to you."
The alleged assault occurred in December 2023 but only came to light in March after the student's mother discovered the messages while checking her son's iCloud account. Formella was a coach for both the girls and boys football teams at Downers Grove South High School, located just outside of Chicago, US.
