Car S.O.S is due to welcome racing driver Lando Norris in an upcoming episode of the show, which will see the Formula One ace deliver a very heartfelt message.

Lando, 25, who has won five Grand Prix across seven seasons, will make a cameo on Car S.O.S on Thursday, 1 May, as he undertakes a 'special mission' to delight a motorsport fan.

He's teamed up with presenters Tim Shaw and Fuzz Townshend to surprise the fan with a heartfelt pre-recorded message.

In a hugely emotional moment, Lando's message is broadcast via a wall of TVs in an electronics store. He shares a personal message to the fan, leading to an even bigger surprise outside the store.

A full restored VW Polo G40 is waiting outside, making for an unforgettable moment on the hit National Geographic show. The episode has been teased as 'heartwarming' and will show a 'dream come true' for a motorsport fan.

Lando is one of many celebrity guests appearing in the thirteenth season of Car S.O.S, which kicked off in March with hosts Tim and Fuzz once again at the helm.

Famous faces, including Mike Brewer, Jeremy Clarkson, and Johnny Vegas, all appear in the new series.

Each episode sees Tim and Fuzz restore vehicles that hold deep personal value for owners, who can't complete the work themselves due to illness or hardship.

As well as celebrity guests and heartfelt moments, TV viewers can also look forward to seeing some incredible car transformations.

Throughout the thirteenth series, Tim and Fuzz work on vehicles including the Land Rover Discovery Series 1, Suzuki Jimny, a classic VW Beach Buggy and in a first for the show, a Ferrari.

Car S.O.S airs on Thursdays at 8pm on National Geographic.
