Ben Stiller has teased eager fans with an update on the third season of the hit series Severance, following the show's successful second outing.
The executive producer and Hollywood star graced ITV's This Morning on Wednesday, 26 March, alongside cast members Adam Scott, Britt Lower, and Tramell Tillman to discuss the show's latest developments.
During their appearance, presenters Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard couldn't resist probing Stiller for the scoop on when the next instalment might drop. The second series concluded its run on Apple TV+ on Friday, 21 March, leaving audiences clamouring for more.
Pressed by This Morning host Ben for a release date, Ben played coy about specifics but assured that the aim is to deliver the third season "as fast as possible".
"Erm... I can't tell you anything. And I would love to tell you how long you'll have to wait, but the goal is definitely not to wait three years, between two and three," he divulged. "For sure, we want to get it out as fast as possible. We're in that process."
This tease comes hot on the heels of Apple TV+'s confirmation that Severance will indeed return for a third season, reports Wales Online.
In a heartfelt statement, the multi-talented Ben expressed: "Making Severance has been one of the most creatively exciting experiences I've ever been a part of.
"While I have no memory of this, I'm told making season three will be equally enjoyable, though any recollection of these future events will be forever and irrevocably wiped from my memory as well."
Dan Erickson, the mastermind behind the show, couldn't hide his excitement: "The idea of getting to make more Severance with the greatest cast and crew on Earth is more thrilling to me than all the world's finger traps combined."
He added: "I can't wait to continue spreading woe, frolic, dread and malice with these truly incredible people."
This Morning airs on weekdays on ITV1 at 10am. Severance is available to stream on Apple TV+.
