If you're yet to book your summer holiday and you're on a budget, easyJet might just have you covered. The low-cost airline is running a new flight from Edinburgh to Marrakech this year, and passengers may be able pick up a bargain if they act fast.

The airline currently has a one-way flight from the Scottish capital to the bustling city for just £38 on August 24. But you might need to be quick, as prices are liable to change and other dates are a lot more expensive. Marrakech‘s wealth of art galleries, museums, and cultural landmarks, make the North African city an excellent holiday option.

Accommodation in the city includes traditional Moroccan riads with sprawling courtyards and stunning interiors, as well as hostels and hotels - but don't expect your reservation to break the bank.

For as little as £40-a-night, you can stay in a riad in the city, giving you an authentic Moroccan experience while leaving you plenty of money left over to spend on food and in the vibrant souks.

Jemaa el-Fna, one of the city's most famous markets, isn't actually a souk but it's very similar and in the heart of the city. 

One visitor to the market raved about their time there, writing on Tripadvisor: "I visited Jemaa el-Fnaa during my stay in Marrakech, and it was an unforgettable experience.

"The square is full of life — from street performers to traditional food stalls. I enjoyed walking around, tasting Moroccan snacks, and watching the energy of the place. A perfect spot to feel the real spirit of the city."

Another wrote: "Wow, wow, just wow! What an amazing place. Started with a guided tour and ended up returning without a guide to see more of this amazing place.

"We first went on a tour guide arranged via easyJet rep Mohammed but because it’s such a big place, we didn’t feel like we had done enough, so went back and a further 6h and another entire day (and street food) later we still feel like we have only scratched the surface.

"We will be coming back time and time again to explore until we have experienced it all."
