Former X Factor star Jake Quickenden was forced to go to the hospital for medical attention after experiencing a painful neck injury. The I'm A Celebrity runner-up, who appeared on the ITV show in 2014, told his fans on Instagram that he could hardly move his neck due to the intense pain.
Taking to Instagram on Monday (May 5), he said in a video: "Everyone is asking about the neck. This is the movement I've got. It's facing this way [right] a lot which is annoying. I went to the hospital last night, to the out-of-hours patients. They gave me some diazepam to relax the muscles and try to help me sleep. I'm a little bit better today, but I do have an osteopath coming round to see what he can do. Just annoying, innit?"
Jake's injury comes just a week after he finished the London Marathon. The star ran the full 42K race in a staggering 3 hours and 33 minutes and raised over £2,000 for Sarcoma UK.
He penned on Instagram, "So I did it…. 3.33 official marathon time. Again was emotional, I cried having nobody to greet me at the finish, felt very overwhelmed, I could’nt expect Sophie to come with the kids, she said she would but I said don’t, kinda wish I said come now lol. I secretly wanted a 3.30 and missed it by 3 minutes you win some you lose some, but also anyone who did the marathon today well bloody done, it was hot and humid and kinda awful but loved every minute…
"Raised almost 2k for @sarcoma_uk and yeah the running journey might just continue. Feeling proud, thanks to anyone who shouted my name and gave words of encouragement it really helped, thanks to my running bro @caseyogorman I love you man. And thank you @coopahruncoach for helping with my training."
