Over the past five years, the outspoken broadcaster has launched an unrelenting barrage of takedowns aimed squarely at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle — and no scandal, project, or podcast has escaped his fury. Whether he's branding Harry a “whiny, entitled, arrogant, hypocritical little twerp” or mocking Meghan as “Princess Pinocchio,” Morgan’s commentary has ranged from brutally sarcastic to downright venomous.

From storming off Good Morning Britain after refusing to believe Meghan’s mental health claims, to accusing the Duchess of being a “publicity-craving celebrity” with a “dangerously out of control” ego, Morgan has made his position crystal clear. He’s called for the couple to be stripped of their titles, dismissed their careers as irrelevant, and even mocked Meghan’s branding woes as little more than a “word salad.” Now, as their public image continues to evolve, we’re looking back at the most blistering, headline-grabbing royal rants from Britain’s most unapologetic media firebrand. Love him or loathe him, when Piers Morgan goes in on the Sussexes — he doesn’t hold back.

BBC backlash

Piers Morgan launched a brutal tirade against Prince Harry following the Duke’s tell-all BBC interview on May 2, branding him a “whiny hypocritical brat” after Harry lost his bid to have UK taxpayers fund his security.

Reacting to Harry’s claims about his fractured royal ties, Morgan fumed on X: “You can’t have your royal cake and eat it.”

The former Good Morning Britain host then doubled down with a second savage post, sharing a photo of Harry alongside the caption: “That moment when you realise you’re now a dead-eyed, drug-addled, pussy-whipped, whiny, entitled, arrogant, hypocritical little twerp loathed by your own family and the public.”

Harry, in the interview, said the security dispute was a “sticking point” and that he wants “reconciliation” with his family — comments Morgan clearly had no patience for.

"Despicable Rat"

Piers Morgan unleashed a blistering attack on Prince Harry after the Duke revealed in a BBC interview that he no longer speaks to King Charles and wants “reconciliation” with his family.

Reacting to Harry’s comments, the opinionated pundit urged the monarch to act: “The King must strip Harry and Meghan of their titles asap. They are never going to stop attacking him, the Monarchy, and the Royal Family – all while simultaneously enriching themselves from their royal status. It’s despicable.”

In another furious post, he raged: “He trashed his family as Prince Philip was dying… he trashed his family as The Queen was dying… and now he’s trashing his family as both his father and sister-in-law have been battling cancer. Is there a more contemptible public figure in the world than Prince Harry?”

Morgan added: “My God… this selfish entitled [expletive] is blaming King Charles… What a despicable rat.”

Mental Health Backlash

Piers Morgan’s relentless attacks on Meghan Markle reached boiling point after her 2021 Oprah interview, where she revealed suicidal thoughts and allegations of racism within the royal family.

On Good Morning Britain, Morgan, 60, declared: “I don’t believe a word she says.” When challenged by co-host Alex Beresford, Morgan stormed off the set and later quit the show.

Unrepentant, he tweeted the next day: “On Monday, I said I didn’t believe Meghan Markle in her Oprah interview. I’ve had time to reflect on this opinion, and I still don’t.” He added: “Freedom of speech is a hill I’m happy to die on.”

Meghan Markle’s most vocal nemesis mocked the mum-of-two further online, dubbing her “Princess Pinocchio” to his 7.8 million Twitter followers.

The broadcast sparked over 41,000 complaints to Ofcom, prompting an investigation under harm and offence rules.

Scathing Three-Word Dig

Piers Morgan reignited his feud with Meghan Markle, 43, and Prince Harry, 40, by unveiling scathing nicknames for the couple following Meghan’s podcast appearance.

Sharing a New York Post article titled “Why Meghan and Harry call themselves H and M,” Morgan tweeted simply: “Moaner and Hypocrite?”

Known for his relentless criticism of the Sussexes, Morgan’s tweet sparked mixed reactions. While some users backed his sentiment, calling Meghan’s continued use of royal titles “disrespectful,” others mocked Morgan’s fixation.

One critic replied, “Piers’ weird obsession with Meghan continues.” Another quipped, “I bet they smile living rent-free in your head.”

"Pass the Sick Bucket"

Piers Morgan tore into Meghan Markle’s Vogue guest edit, calling it “another elitist production” and branding her “a publicity-craving celebrity.”

Slamming her for pushing politics, he fumed: “She’s now supposed to be a member of the royal family… not a publicity-craving celebrity,” adding, “being a royal means you stay out of politics.”

Morgan mocked the magazine’s cover: “A fabulously rich and entitled Princess lecturing us on privilege from her servant-laden royal quarters,” and scoffed at the inclusion of a mirror: “Oh pur-lease. Pass the sick bucket.”

Taking aim at Meghan’s “woke” ideology, he wrote: “Her purpose… is not to simply change the world; it’s to make it the PC-crazed one she wants it to be.”

He ended with a brutal blow: “She’s already guzzled at the udder of royal fame like a starving desert traveller arriving at an over-flowing oasis.”

"Word Salad"

Piers Morgan couldn’t resist mocking Meghan Markle after she described the naming process for her brand as a “word salad” on her podcast Confessions of a Female Founder. Meghan admitted she initially wanted “American Riviera” as the main brand name and for “Orchard” to be used for smaller sales verticals.

“When that’s not feasible, the name suddenly became this word salad. I didn’t love that so much,” she said.

Morgan reposted the quote on X, quipping: “As opposed to everything else she says…” and added multiple crying-laughing emojis.

His jab sparked debate online, with some suggesting Meghan had failed to trademark the full name.

One Santa Barbara resident noted the area has called itself the “American Riviera” for decades, potentially complicating her branding plans.

"Paraiahs" Dig

Piers Morgan branded Prince Harry and Meghan Markle “total pariahs” in a scathing takedown of their post-royal careers.

Speaking on The Megyn Kelly Show, Morgan claimed: “The royals don’t talk to them, the King does not talk to his own son… They are total pariahs in the family because the only currency they have is trashing the Royal Family.”

Dismissing their efforts to branch out, he added: “Every time they try to do something else, nobody cares. Nobody cares about the podcast series, nobody cares about the polo series recently, nobody cared about any of it.”

“They are desperately trying to maintain some kind of future as a renegade royal couple when they are not part of the Royal Family,” he continued. “These for five years have revelled and wallowed in royal dirt for vast amounts of money.”
