Members of the Royal Family are regularly handed new honours from all around the world, but perhaps one of the most special is having something named after them. When it comes to naming everything from buildings to major infrastructure and even new varieties of plants, the names of individual royals are frequently chosen to pay tribute to their life and work.
The Princess of Wales has been the latest recipient of such an honour as the RHS announced that they have named a new rose, which has been bred by Harkness Roses, after her. The stunning bloom will be known as 'Catherine’s Rose’, and features subtle coral-pink flowers which have a rich perfume with hints of Turkish Delight.
The news comes after the Princess has been very open about the benefits that spending time outdoors has on everybody. However, the Princess is not the only member of the family to have a flower named after her, find out who else does here.
