Nicola Peltz's recent "fallout" with the Beckhams, which saw her and Brooklyn miss multiple lavish bashes to mark his dad's milestone 50th birthday, is reportedly just the tip of the iceberg. American billionaire Nelson Peltz's daughter allegedly had multiple disagreements with her in-laws dating back to way before last week's major absence.

It had previously seemed that she'd been warmly embraced by one of Britain's most famed families. The Beckhams attended her film premiere last year, even with Victoria on crutches, and she and David have been openly supportive of their first daughter-in-law on social media. However, tension seemed to be simmering beneath the surface amid reports of disputes during Nicola and Brooklyn's wedding planning more than three years ago, with claims that the former was "absolutely foul".

The rumours intensified even further when Nicola made the surprise decision to walk down the aisle in a Valentino dress instead of one of her fashion designer mum-in-law's creations; she claimed that Victoria had been unable to make the outfit she wanted.

According to a source reported in the Daily Mail, "She was rude to Victoria, she shunned other members of the Beckham family and now it appears she wants to blame it all on Kim, which is just nasty. It is like they are trying to rewrite history."

The same source described many guests as being upset at the wedding, calling the event "difficult", and elaborating: "Some people felt that Nicola was vile.

"The Beckham gang just adore Brooklyn and wanted to be part of it all. Now Nicola is singling Kim out and seems to be making it her fault but she only started dating Romeo last November. Relations have been strained since the wedding and there has been much concern for Brooklyn ever since."

Things escalated significantly when the young pair made a very public snub of football legend David's 50th birthday celebrations.

They were absent from a family gathering at the Beckham's Cotswolds estate, a trip to France on David's big day, and his London party. Brooklyn and Nicola insist they requested to meet his famous parents after they arrived in London from Los Angeles.

The root of their issue appears to be Romeo Beckham's new girlfriend Kim Turnbull, with some reports suggesting she had a brief fling with Brooklyn years earlier.

That claim has been firmly refuted by youngest brother Cruz, as The Mirror has reported.

Meanwhile, another source insists the Beckhams have supported Nicola "at every opportunity" and feel "no anger but just a deep sense of sorrow about how things have turned out."

The source confided to the Mirror: "They have gone above and beyond to help Nicola with her endeavours."

A separate source told The Mirror: "Nicola encourages Brooklyn to see his family and is usually the reason Brooklyn does see his family.

"They are both devastated. They cannot believe that Victoria and David refused to see them privately after they travelled all the way to London specifically to try to repair the relationship."

They continued: "As parents, it's shocking that Victoria and David are behaving this way... instead of privately discussing the issue. Victoria and David (appear to) have no interest in finding a solution that works for everyone."
